This guide brings together access supports, affordability options, age guidance and audience initiatives across the Festival programme.

Look out for access and audience tags on show pages to quickly spot the performances, supports and schemes that are right for you.

Please check individual show pages and the Venues page for more detailed access information before booking, as access can vary by venue and performance space.

ISL: IRISH SIGN LANGUAGE

ISL-interpreted performances feature a live interpreter who signs the spoken content of the show, making it more accessible for Deaf audience members who use Irish Sign Language (the primary language of the Deaf community in Ireland). There are five ISL interpreted performances, with four of these offered through Lianne Quigley’s ISL Deaf Translations Project.

CREATIVE CAPTIONS

Creative Captions expand on traditional captions by representing spoken dialogue and sound in a more immersive and accessible way.

By integrating colour, movement and expressive typography, captions become embedded within the visual language and design of a work. Created with Deaf audiences in mind, Creative Captions are also an access tool for all audience members.
