WRITTEN BY TOM SWIFT, MUSIC BY DARAGH DUKES

Carmilla is a former Eurovision sensation turned property mogul, here to “Set the Liberties Free”. But when she hosts a community consultation to pitch her “visionary” regeneration plan, things quickly go wrong.

Set to a parade of Euro-pop bangers, this high-octane musical satire takes aim at gentrification, developer-led destruction and the people in power willing to play along. A surreal takedown of greed and grift in Dublin, asking how wide the gap between satire and reality actually is.

From Dublin Fringe Best Production winners. Directed by Jo Mangan, featuring Alan Howley, Emmet Kirwan and Ruth McGill.

Funded by the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon. Supported by Dublin City Council, Kildare County Council & An Taisce. Developed at  The Liberties Community Project & The Liberties Festival.
