The Boxes

Yves Lorrhan & Inner Man Community
A group of performers gather around stacked cardboard boxes on a dark stage.

A raw and honest fusion of dance and physical theatre, directed by Yves Lorrhan, who also performs alongside members of the Inner Man community group. This group is dedicated to exploring male identity and social expectations, and this new work puts their lived experience centre stage.

Through a dynamic blend of movement and voice, this visceral work breaks down the invisible walls of masculinity to celebrate vulnerability and transformation.

A powerful, authentic invitation to reflect on what it means to be a man today.

Funded by the Arts Council of Ireland / An Chomhairle Ealaíon. Supported by Dance Ireland & Aerowaves. Developed at Dublin Fringe Festival Studios, MAKE, Uillinn: West Cork Arts Centre, Roscommon Arts Centre, Ballina Arts Centre, Riverbank Arts Centre, Instant Dissidence, Live Arts Ireland, & Tic Tac Arts Centre (BE).
