Kafka's Doll

Theatre Lovett
A large puppet-like figure rests its head beside a row of small hand-crafted dolls on a dark stage. Visible symbols: ISL and 8+.

CO-PRESENTED BY THE ABBEY THEATRE & DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL

Kafka's Doll offers a rare glimpse into the imagination of one of literatures most influential figures.

Franz Kafka’s experience of humanity was far from joyful. But one day, while consoling a tearful little girl in a Berlin park, he rediscovered a fragile but vital faith in the human spirit. What followed was an extraordinary act of imagination, told through a series of letters.

Brought to life by Theatre Lovett (Best Production 2024) and a versatile ensemble cast, Kafka’s Doll invites audiences of all ages on a captivating journey, offering Kafka’s final gift of hope in an uncertain world.
