DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL RESIDENT ARTISTS: APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN

02 October 2025

In 2026, we will be welcoming three full-time Resident Artists at Dublin Fringe Festival to join a growing Fringe family of Resident Artists. Are you looking for an office space to make great work in? Need somewhere to have meetings, think and make plans? Could you use some advice and support from peers and the Dublin Fringe Festival team? Move in to Fringe HQ! It’s a brilliant and busy building full of artists and festival bustle.

We have one free, shared office space here for Dublin based artists at Dublin Fringe HQ to make your own - 7 days a week. The artists’ office offers a no-frills workspace – it’s a small room, with three desks available, where you will be working side-by-side with your fellow residents. So we ask you to keep this in mind when applying. You’ll be part of one of the buzziest communal workspaces around!

Being a Resident Artist at Dublin Fringe will offer you the following:

  • Free, secure, lockable office space on Sycamore Street at Fringe HQ
  • Access to Wi-Fi, printing, and kitchen facilities
  • Year-round advice, support and cheerleading from the Dublin Fringe Festival team
  • Access to rehearsal studio space at a highly subsidised rate
  • Community and networking with other artists from different artforms
  • Access to your shared office 10am – 10pm, 7 days a week (except when the building closes for Christmas break)
  • An honorarium of €300 towards your artistic practice
  • Additional financial support towards mentorship or training opportunities, identified through your meetings with Dublin Fringe’s Programming Team

We want to hear from artists / producers / a small company or a collective who could make good use of office space at Dublin Fringe HQ on Sycamore Street in Temple Bar from January – December 2026. Applications are accepted from artists, producers, companies or collectives of any kind. Please note, Dublin Fringe Festival offices are accessed by stairs only.

Do you have questions or are you not sure that being a Resident Artist would work for you based on what’s above? Email the Programming Team on programming@fringefest.com and a member of the team will get back to you clarifying any questions you have.

Room to Create
For artists who are not successful in becoming a Resident Artist, you also have an option to tick an additional box to make yourself eligible for a short-term Room to Create Residency. Room to Create offers a small office on the first floor to artists for one to two weeks, offering time and headspace to experiment, explore and deep dive into a project. Dublin Fringe’s Programming Team will also set up a meeting with you to bounce ideas, get feedback, and push you work to the next level. Please note, Room to Create is mainly selected from Resident Artist applications, but we might also offer these residences on a case-by-case basis on other programmes and schemes overseen by Dublin Fringe Festival. In 2025, DFF were able to support nine artists through a pilot version of this scheme and we hope to be able to support a similar number in 2026.
