Announcing Pan Pan Platform at Dublin Fringe Festival 2026
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Pan Pan on the eighth edition of the Pan Pan Platform at Dublin Fringe Festival 2026. This initiative connects experienced makers and producers in Pan Pan Theatre with exciting early career artists.

All projects will receive artistic mentorship from Gavin Quinn and producing/company support from Emma Coen, Lisa Nally, and Alice Quinn Banville. They receive a contribution towards artist fees, and support around preparing for future touring.

Black Transmission
Clodagh Assata Boyce
Black Transmission is a performance installation that struggles against colonial legacy and erasure.
Placing their body and voice against Dublin’s 18th century architectural print, Clodagh Assata Boyce relates the city’s historical fabric to the transatlantic slave trade and the process of sugar refining.
In this confrontation they unveil a haunted white spatial imaginary experienced in 21st century still.
Mourning is a Muscle
Barry Fitzgerald
A denim-drenched journey through grief, queerness and lineage - part performance, part installation.
Four years after their father’s death, Barry began writing letters to him. What started as a private mourning ritual became a way to move again.
Fusing ritual, music, design and movement, this tender and electric new work travels from Annie Lennox to Neil Diamond, Carlow fields to London lockdown, line dancing to lip-syncing.
A call to witness mourning in all its forms: spectacular, ordinary and everything in between.

What grows in the places the city forgets?
Empty grates. Missing manhole covers. Disturbed ground. On this guided walking tour through the North Inner City, sculptural artworks burst from the overlooked edges of the streetscape, jolting us out of the humdrum of urban life.
This site-specific live art experience invites you to spend an afternoon in the company of the city itself, tracing histories of resilience, resistance and flux, and asking what new life might grow from the rubble.

In 2019, Pan Pan and Dublin Fringe Festival decided to formalise their partnership as the Pan Pan Platform. Prior to this, Pan Pan was associate producer on four productions in Dublin Fringe Festival 2018, Unwoman Part III by The Rabble and Maeve Stone, My Dad’s Blind by Anna Shiels McNamee, Oneday by Dick Walsh and James Moran and Everything I Do by Zoe Ní Ríordáin.

Since its inception, Pan Pan has constantly examined and challenged the nature of its work and has resisted settling into well-tried formulas. Developing new performance ideas is at the centre of the company’s mission. All the works created are original, either through the writing (original plays) or through the totally unique expression of established writings. Pan Pan tries to approach theatre as an open form of expression and has developed an individual aesthetic that has grown from making performances in a host of different situations and conditions.
