Black Transmission
PRESENTED BY DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL
Black Transmission is a performance installation that struggles against colonial legacy and erasure.
Placing their body and voice against Dublin’s 18th century architectural print, Clodagh Assata Boyce relates the city’s historical fabric to the transatlantic slave trade and the process of sugar refining.
In this confrontation they unveil a haunted white spatial imaginary experienced in 21st century still.
Developed as part of the Common Ground Collective Futures Residency. Supported by Dublin Fringe Festival’s Weft Initiative & Pan Pan Platform at Dublin Fringe Festival.

PLEASE NOTE: The performance is broken up into 15 minutes to explore the installation at the start, and then a 50-minute performance.
