Vanessa Byrne

Vanessa is an actor, creative producer, stage/production/marketing manager, dramaturg and all-round festival extraordinaire Dublin born and Mayo raised. Since 2021, she has worked for multiple festivals across Ireland and the UK, including the Dublin Theatre Festival, the Dublin International Film Festival and with Gilded Balloon at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Artistically, her festival highlights include Marketing and Publicity Manager for THIS TOO SHALL PASS (Dublin Fringe Festival 2024) and was programmed as part of the DIFF x IFCO Lecture Series in the Dublin International Film Festival (2025.)
Vanessa holds a BA in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies with English from the University of Galway, and an M. Phil in Film Studies - Screenwriting from Trinity College Dublin. She has also studied a semester abroad at The School of Drama, The New School, New York.
Vanessa is passionate about creating radical, empowering art, where every voice has a chance to be heard.
Having worked with the Dublin Fringe Festival since 2022, Vanessa is delighted to step into the role of Studios Coordinator as she continues to be the biggest cheerleader for both the Dublin Fringe Festival and all of the artists that Fringe champions and supports.
