STAFF NEWS: Clíona Malin joins Dublin Fringe Festival as Programme Assistant
We’re delighted to announce that Clíona Malin (she/her) has been appointed permanently to the role of Programme Assistant at Dublin Fringe Festival.
Clíona first joined the team in 2024 as Programme Administrator and has been serving as Programme Assistant since early this year. A programmer, dramaturg and poet based in Dublin, she brings care, insight and a deep commitment to supporting artists and their work. In her role, Clíona works on the programming and delivery of the festival, supports the FRINGE LAB artist support programme, and offers dramaturgical guidance to artists.
Before joining Dublin Fringe, Clíona was Team Assistant at leading UK arts funder Jerwood Arts, supporting grantmaking for early-career artists across disciplines. She holds a BA in Theatre and English from Brunel University London. As a poet, she was selected for Munster Literature Centre Poetry Introductions 2025 and the Irish Writers Centre Foundation Programme 2024. Her work has been published in Catflap and performed at festivals including Dublin Book Festival and Outburst Queer Arts Festival.
“I am so thrilled to be continuing my journey at Dublin Fringe Festival, after initially joining the team as Programme Administrator last year and stepping into the role of Programme Assistant this year. It is an honour and immense joy to work at Dublin Fringe Festival. I look forward to continue working with such a supportive and dedicated team. I am excited as always to support artists to realise their bold and brilliant ideas, creating space to embrace the new, the weird and the wonderful.” Clíona Malin
