Meet Our International Accommodation Partner: citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s
Dublin Fringe Festival is delighted to welcome citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s as our International Accommodation Partner for 2026, supporting the Festival’s International Programme and helping us welcome bold, brilliant artists from around the world to Dublin this September.
International work is a vital part of Dublin Fringe Festival, bringing new voices, ideas and ways of making performance to the city. Accommodation is also one of the biggest practical challenges involved in presenting visiting work, and citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s support will help make it possible for international artists to take part in this year’s Festival.
This year’s International Programme includes work from the US, Zambia and the UK, including featuring a breadth of genre-defying work, from a solo experience shared with a tree in Ofo Theatre’s Arborlogues to a circus extravaganza Afronauts, which tells the unknown tale of the Zambian space race from Circus Zambia and Wake the Beast. Dublin Fringe Festival’s International Programme brings bold, world-wide storytelling straight to your door in Dublin. As part of the partnership, Dublin Fringe Festival ticket holders can enjoy 15% off food and beverages (excluding alcohol) at citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s throughout the Festival, available daily on presentation of a valid Festival ticket.
Bee Sparks, Festival Director at Dublin Fringe Festival, said:
“We’re thrilled to welcome citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s as our International Accommodation Partner for this year’s Festival. Bringing international artists to Dublin is such an important part of Fringe, but accommodation is one of the biggest practical challenges involved. citizenM’s support helps us welcome brilliant visiting artists to the city and gives Dublin audiences the chance to discover work they simply wouldn’t see anywhere else.”
Jason Cairns, Hotel Manager at citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s:
“Since opening our doors in Dublin just over a year ago, we’ve loved becoming part of the city, and this partnership is a wonderful way to connect even more with its creative fabric. We’re excited to welcome artists, Dubliners and visitors from around the world, and to support a festival that has brought so much creativity and international talent to Dublin over the years.”
As part of the partnership, Marriott Bonvoy members can also bid on an exclusive Dublin Fringe Festival weekend, including a two-night stay for two at citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s and a programme of performances specially curated by Festival Director Bee Sparks. Bidding is now open through Marriott Bonvoy Moments until 2 September, starting at 75,000 points.
2026 INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMME HIGHLIGHTS
AFRONAUTS
Circus Zambia & Wake the Beast
CO-PRESENTED BY CIVIC THEATRE & DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL 1964.
America and Russia are racing for the moon. Enter Zambia.
Edward Mukuka Nkoloso has a plan: an aluminium rocket, one girl, two cats and a missionary. His mission? To send Africa’s first astronauts into the cosmos.
Wake The Beast and Circus Zambia bring this extraordinary true story to life with breathtaking acrobatics and irresistible heart. A high-flying fusion of circus, theatre and space adventure about daring to dream against the odds, and who gets to reach for the stars.
This is the story of the greatest space mission you’ve never heard of.
ARBORLOGUES: A Botanical Recital Performed for One Tree
Ofo Theatre
You are the performer. A single tree is your audience.
Inside a tiny red-curtain theatre built around a chosen tree, you are handed a bound script and left alone with your arboreal audience. Over 15 minutes, a script guides you through stories, prompts and actions connected to this tree, this land and your place in a much larger living system.
Performed across the world for a wide variety of trees, this intimate one-person play invites you into a quiet exchange between human and more- than-human life.
FAILURE CONFETTI
Maeve Press
Maeve, former child actor faces adulthood; unemployed and haunted by the question: who am I? She would like to reinvent herself as a “Broadway diva.” Tragically, she can neither sing nor dance.
She joins a hardcore method acting class, accidently unraveling her identity and unearthing actual childhood reports cataloguing everything “wrong” with her. A queer coming-of-age story about neurodiversity, failure and the myth of being fixed.
A sharp solo show bursting with vulnerability, defiance, and the messy making of a magnificent and unapologetic Broadway Diva!
SLUGS
Creepy Boys
A techno-punk concert, clown show, play and basement puppet nightmare about trying to have a good time while the world burns.
Wild, strange and completely unpredictable, Canadian duo Creepy Boys bring their gloriously unhinged performance style to Dublin Fringe Festival for the first time.
PHILOSOPHY OF THE WORLD
In Bed With My Brother
A chaotic, funny and fiercely feminist attempt to tell the story of cult 1960s band The Shaggs.
UK performance art provocateurs In Bed With My Brother return with a genre-smashing collision of live music, theatre and pop-cultural obsession.
Dublin Fringe Festival ticket holders can enjoy 15% off food and beverages (excluding alcohol) at citizenM Dublin St Patrick’s throughout the Festival, available daily on presentation of a valid Festival ticket.
