ABOUT THE ROLE
Dublin Fringe Festival is a year-round organisation that is a home to artists and a platform for brand new work across every discipline. It is a thriving community that celebrates bold ideas and brave performing arts every September, marking its 30th edition in 2024.
The Programme Administrator works closely with the Artistic Projects Manager and FRINGE LAB & Artistic Assistant during the programming cycle for our annual September festival. You will support the administration of the festival from the critical period of Festival planning and setting of the festival schedule through to the brochure going to print. When it comes to detail management, you’re beyond thorough; you take pride in never missing a beat. You will be a key part of how the festival is made.
This position is active, rewarding and hands on. Fringe HQ is an exciting place to immerse yourself in the day-to-day life of a leading Irish cultural organisation and will connect you with artists from across the country. The position will give you practical experience of and extensive behind-the-scenes insight into the planning and execution of one of Ireland’s leading cultural events. You will gain skills across all elements of festival planning, know-how easily transferable to project management and planning in a variety of artistic disciplines and event planning.

WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS
- Providing administrative support to the Artistic Department across all aspects of Festival programme planning.
- Taking accurate notes and supporting information flow between festival departments.
- Tracking logistics by assisting with the assembly of planning documents and schedules.
- Supporting the delivery of an action-packed festival by helping to build a community around it via neighbourhood schemes, artist passes, meet and greets etc.
- Working effectively as part of a collaborative team.
- Assisting the Artistic Team in the delivery of the festival.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Good time management and ability to multitask with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- A positive and active sense of team spirit, curiosity and drive.
- Organised, structured and systematic in work.
- Good IT skills – Word and Excel in particular. This role involves the management of a lot of information.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Fluent English.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- The position is a seasonal fixed contract (April 3rd – 24th September)
- 2 days a week, with the normal working day being 10am to 6pm including lunch, with regular evenings and weekends during the festival period.
- The position is full-time from 4th September to 24th September 2024.
- Renumeration: €27,000 per annum pro rata
