FUSE: Lust Edition

As we wait for the weather to heat up, we might just spark a fire within ourselves. Seduction, lust and flirtation are on the metaphorical menu as we let our minds wander to the people, places and things that get us hot and bothered.

The naughty night will feature comedy, performance, movement and poetry. We will lean into what might make us breathy, but also reconsider what we crave and desire. Lust is expansive and lust is for everyone. So come up to the lab. See what’s on the slab. I see you shiver with antici–pation.

Fringe FUSE is a platform for work in development, please receive all performances in the spirit of scratch.

This event is free but capacity is limited, please book your spot here.

Please note, Dublin Fringe Festival offices are accessed by stairs only .

Marlon Simeon

"He's an immigrant and gay. " - Marlon

I was born during [redacted] and grew up in the Philippines in a nauseatingly Catholic household watching Disney films as an escape. I didn't come out until I was in my mid 20s right just before things got too late. I left my hometown as soon as I could and have lived in Singapore and now Dublin is home.

Living on this island with my husband and our two cats surrounded by our alcoholic friends, it couldn’t get any better and, honestly, wilder. From Rugby men who are essentially 75% thighs to the possibility of running into any of the lads in Boyzone on the streets, I really truly could not ask for more.

I occasionally do comedy.

Arlene Caffrey

Arlene Caffrey is an interdisciplinary visual artist, dance artist and adult educator. Working across the media of performance, sculpture and the written word, her practice is informed by her experience as a professional pole dancer, as well as a dash of existential dread and fondness for postmodern literature.

In her career as a dance artist, she has been successfully (and very gracefully) shoe-horning into every discussion of her practice that she has performed live with Snoop Dogg as part of his ‘I Wanna Thank Me Tour’.

Since graduating from Limerick School Of Art & Design with a Masters in Fine Art in 2023, Arlene’s current research-led practice is inspired by the exploration of embodied experience, identity and autotheory. Her practice is supported by ArtLinks and Kilkenny Arts Office.

GoblinsGoblinsGoblins

Speak the Devil's name, and they shall appear. GoblinsGoblinsGoblins is a drag queen and stand-up comedian who has been confused for neither.

They have tried to get into acting school twice and failed - but they did win a Dublin Fringe Award, which was nice.

They have competed in multiple drag competitions and never won,but treasure the real prize: the friends they've made along the way.

Their speciality is delivering characters that explore the full spectrum of passive to regular aggressive.

If found lost, please do not return.
