Venus Patel against brick wall

Venus Patel is a transfemme artist of colour, working primarily with performance and film. Her work explores her lived experience as “the other” and its opposition through the societal confines of conformity.  Patel utilises a unique mix of humour, absurdity, and abjection to deal with serious subject matter such as hate crimes, religious guilt, and Queer/POC suppression. After graduating from TU Dublin in 2022, she won the Taylor Art Award at the RDS Visual Art Awards. Her first solo exhibition, “Monsters of the Apocalypse” opened with Pallas Projects last year. She has exhibited and screened work across Ireland at the Crawford Gallery, the Complex, and the Butler Gallery, as well as internationally in the UK and Germany.

Isadora Epstein makes performances from her research of art history and mythology. Living and working in Dublin, Epstein has had performances at IMMA, the Douglas Hyde Gallery, the Hugh Lane Gallery, MOLI and at TULCA. She has upcoming performances at the Mermaid Arts Centre, Ormston House, and the Glucksman.

Stéphane Béna Hanly is a visual artist based in Dublin whose practice involves performance, sculpture, video and sound work, usually with the aim of bouncing these media off each other. Since graduating from NCAD in 2013 Stéphane has exhibited throughout Ireland and abroad in Austria, Belgium and Switzerland. His work takes shape in fantastical and comical scenarios, manifested in any or a combination of media that is felt will convey the concept most effectively. Recently Stéphane has worked through art response with the aim of exploring the relationship between artists, artworks and their audience.  Through this he has gained a dynamic knowledge of installation in relation to movement, sound and audience experience.

Hi-Vis Witches are a practical & absurd collective of constructive spellcasters. Their events toe the line between participatory art, performance and workshop. Their work has been commissioned by IMMA, Live Art Ireland and Imagine Festival, Belfast. Their collective takes on the aesthetics of a construction company, to highlight the effective and modern nature of their witchcraft. They aim to bring a higher level of visibility to issues of climate, biodiversity, housing, dereliction and neoliberalism, creating artwork as a form of collaborative spellcasting. Hi-Vis Witches are artists Megan Scott, Heather Gray & Marie Denham.
