FIELD:ARTS X FRINGE LAB AT DUBLIN FRINGE FESTIVAL 2026 PARTNERSHIP

Dublin Fringe Festival and field:arts are delighted to now be in the fourth year of a successful partnership supporting emerging Creative Producers. It's an exciting time to cultivate growth, sustainability and ambition across the independent contemporary arts sector in Ireland. This support has been created to embolden and prioritise the relationship between Creative Producers and Artists on their journey to create new work. Nominated by Dublin Fringe Festival and selected by field:arts, these supports have a particular focus on emerging Creative Producers who are establishing their practice. Participating producers are all working on projects in Dublin Fringe Festival 2026. The artists and shows that make up this year’s field:arts x FRINGE LAB 2026 cohort are:

Miss Powder Vacuum 2026

Miss Powder Vacuum 2026 is upon us and she’s summoning the most gifted and
challenged to guide us through another year of the end of this world! The time has come
once again to gather and groan over the absolute best and the absolute worst in search
of our most powdered prima donna.

Last year our debut debutante Miss Fanny Split McGee broke our hearts into a million
pieces and stitched them back together again with the threads from her gorgeous
tonne-bag dress (sturdy!) This year she returns to scrutinise her successor as they
traipse and tumble their way through two cut-throat categories: evening wear and talent.

Contestants of all shapes, sizes and species, handpicked through our annual casting
call, will do their best to seduce our judges and audience. Join us at The Douglas Hyde
for the return of a truly special pageant. Expect live performance, music, catfights and
the crowning of true glory. Curated by artist Bill Harris

Cutting The Stone

Soria Reilly, Gweynn, Adam Sinclaire & Glasshouse Music

In her 1968 work Extracting the Stone of Madness, Argentine writer Alejandra Pizarnik drew from a Hieronymus Bosch painting depicting the medieval process of trepanning, using a compact unflinching quality of language to try to excise her own existential malaise. 

This performance animates the same fragmentation of form and hypnotic delirium found in the minimalist palette of her words. Blending voice, electronics, flute and strings, the composition was written in an exchange by artists based between Ireland and Berlin.

Alongside a financial contribution to pay Creative Producers for their time, supports offered by field:arts to selected producers during this timeframe include: training and mentorship, producing support and production advice, professional guidance, an introduction to a wider network, audience development, and more generally artistic growth and artform development.
