Dublin Fringe Festival Welcomes New Board Members

Dublin Fringe is delighted to welcome two new board members to the team, Julie Blakeley and Carly McKenna, bringing with them invaluable experience and expertise.

Ruth McGowan, Artistic Director & CEO: "We are so pleased to welcome Carly and Julie to Dublin Fringe Festival. They each bring a passion for artists and a wealth of skills to our brilliant and committed board, and I look forward to the work we’ll do together in the years ahead.”

Julie Blakeley is the founder of Jailbird Communications, a company specialising in cultural and youth marketing. Julie has 13 years experience in PR, Social Media and Sponsorship for both Irish and global brands and organisations. A long time Dublin Fringe fan and one time judge, Julie is delighted to join the board.

Carly McKenna is Senior Legal Counsel for EMEA at Airbnb, advising on privacy, litigation and regulatory matters. With an interest in diversity and inclusion, Carly is also engaged in various initiatives across the business, and co-leads Airbnb's European employee resource group for people of colour.

Before Airbnb, Carly was in practice as a Barrister in the Law Library, Dublin. Carly got her degree from the National University of Ireland, Galway, qualifying as a Barrister in 2011 after graduating from the King's Inns, Dublin.
