Dublin Fringe Festival Announces New Head of the Board
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Áine Mulloy as the new Head of the Dublin Fringe Festival board.
Áine has sat on the board since 2020, and in that time has been a wonderful ally and support to the organisation. She brings a wealth of experience and expertise to Dublin Fringe Festival and we are excited for her to step up to lead her fellow board members in 2025 and beyond.
‘It's more important than ever to support the Arts, creativity, and maintain cities for those who live there. Artists help breathe life into spaces that are often overlooked. They force us to reckon with where we are going as a society. They make cities fun. The Dublin Fringe Festival represents a rare opportunity for emerging, and established, artists to push the boundaries of their practice, and experiment with new forms. Fringe encourages us to reflect on how we want Dublin to be. As a long-time fan of the festival it's an absolute honour to be chairing the Board. I look forward to continuing to work with the entire Fringe team as we embark on its next instalment and beyond.’ - Áine Mulloy
As we welcome Áine, we want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Lara Hickey, our outgoing Chair of the Board who has been with us since 2016. Lara’s dedication, insight, and steadfast leadership during her two years as Chair of our board have been invaluable in shaping the festival into the thriving platform it is today.
'It is with absolute pleasure that we announce our new chair Áine, who has played a vital role in the organisation for the last four years. I greatly look forward to working with her to steer Dublin Fringe Festival into its next phase as a bold multidisciplinary festival and artist support organisation. I also want to express huge gratitude to our outgoing Chair Lara Hickey for her exceptional commitment as a board member for the last 8 years. She has been integral to the strength of the festival and we extend the most heartfelt thanks to her for her guidance, expertise and commitment to the artists within our community.'
