Dublin Fringe Festival announces departure of Executive Director Elissavet Chatzinota

12 March 2026

Dublin Fringe Festival today announces that Executive Director Elissavet Chatzinota will be stepping down from her role.

Since joining Dublin Fringe Festival in February 2024, Elissavet has brought huge energy, enthusiasm and dedication to the role. Over the past two years, she has played an important part in the organisation’s continued development, bringing care, rigour and generosity to her work and to the many relationships at the heart of the festival.

She has been a passionate advocate for Dublin Fringe Festival and for the artists who make the festival what it is, and her hard work and commitment have helped deliver two vibrant and ambitious festivals during her time with the organisation. Her contribution has been deeply valued, and she will be greatly missed by the team and wider Fringe community. While we are very sad to see her go, we wish her all the very best for the future.

On her departure Elissavet has said: 'Dublin Fringe Festival has a very important role in the Irish arts sector and it was a privilege to contribute to the organisation's development over the past two years. It is with great sadness that I leave the amazing Fringe team; their knowledge, skills and dedication will forever be an inspiration for me. But it is also with great hope that I am stepping away, as I am sure they will keep delivering nothing less than an extraordinary festival every year. I am looking forward to seeing you all in a venue this coming September!'

'Elissavet has been an exceptional presence within the Dublin Fringe Festival team. We will deeply miss her expertise, humour and vision at Dublin Fringe Festival. We can't wait to see what she does next and are sure that she will do so with rigour and excellence!' - Bee Sparks, Festival Director of Dublin Fringe Festival

Elissavet will be with Dublin Fringe Festival until the end of May. We will begin recruitment shortly and look forward to sharing more soon.
