Something’s brewing for artists in 2026.

Dublin Fringe Festival is delighted to announce Creativity on Tap: Artist Open Day @ Guinness Open Gate Brewery, the next step in our ongoing partnership with Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Roe & Co Distillery.

Building on the momentum of Creativity on Tap: Where Bold Ideas Meet Iconic Spaces, this new event continues our shared commitment to supporting artists, sparking collaboration and creating space for bold ideas to grow. Taking place on Wednesday 22 April 2026, the day will bring together networking, skills development and live work-in-progress performance in one of Dublin’s most distinctive venues.

Bee Sparks, Festival Director of Dublin Fringe Festival, said: “Creativity on Tap: Artist Open Day is about creating space for artists to meet, exchange ideas, test work and build community. We’re delighted to continue this partnership with Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Roe & Co Distillery in a way that supports artists year-round and brings fresh creative energy into an iconic Dublin space.”

14:00 - 16:00: Creative Hospitality Workshop

With Jennie Moran
[Register Here] Places are limited for this workshop, so we recommend booking in advance.

This is a hands-on session about welcoming others into our work using the beautiful philosophical laws of hospitality. Consider your creative practice as a space for strangers to connect. You are the host to these strangers. What do they need?

How can you open up the potential for shared experience? How can you make this connection authentic, impactful, fully immersive, complex? How is the visitor welcomed? What will they feel like when they leave? How will your creative practice be impacted by these “guests”? During the workshop we will explore risk, atmosphere, systems of welcome, creating space for interruption. We will also help define our work in relation to the cultural landscape around us.

Who is this event for? Artists across discipline – visual, music, theatre, dance, multidisciplinary. If you’re interested in building hospitality into your practice, this workshop is for you!

Sophia Wren: The Best Girl in the World WIP

[Book Your Ticket Here]
A Work-in-progress comedy evening. As part of Creativity on Tap: Artist Open Day, Dublin Fringe Festival and Guinness Open Gate Brewery present a special work-in-progress showing of The Best Girl in the World, the brand new comedy show from one of Ireland’s most exciting comedy voices, Sophia Wren.

Catch an early outing of Sophia Wren’s brand new show before it heads to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Dark, sharp and brilliantly off-kilter, The Best Girl in the World is a love letter to childhood, damsel-in-distress syndrome, and the chaos of growing up in a world on fire.

Who is this event for? This event is open to the public and is for ages 21+. Booking is required.
