Dublin Fringe Festival 2026: Applications Opening in December
Applications for Dublin Fringe Festival 2026 will now open on the week of the 1st of December 2025 and will close on 22nd January 2026.
Artists, get ready to share those big ideas with the Dublin Fringe team, as we’re opening applications a little earlier this year!
This new timeline is intended to give artists more time with the application materials ahead of submission, offering a slightly longer window to develop their ideas and prepare their submissions. With the number of applications we receive each year on the rise, it also helps the Dublin Fringe Festival team give every application the care and attention they deserve. Vitally, this shift also provides programmed artists with a little more time to hone their big ideas ahead of the festival in September.
As always, our team is here to help along the way with a suite of application supports:
- Join us for Elevenses: Applications Edition on Friday 28th November at 11am — our monthly open coffee morning at Fringe HQ will be focused entirely on your festival applications. Bring your questions, meet the team, and connect with other artists who are planning to apply.
- 1:1 Artist Meetings (zoom and in-person) right up until we close for Christmas on 12 December, and again in early January before the final deadline. These are a chance to talk through your ideas one on one and unpick any big questions: venue, theme, budget – we're here to help!
- Application Information Workshops (online and in-person): this workshop and Q&A will answer all of your questions about the festival, how to apply, what we're looking for and anything else we or you can think of.
All the details, guidance and meeting sign-up and application links will be available on our website when applications open on the week of 1st December 2025.
Bring us your boldest, weirdest, most wonderful ideas – we can’t wait to hear them.
