Creativity on Tap: An Evening With Emma Doran

Creativity on Tap
Emma Doran

Presented by Dublin Fringe Festival and Guinness Open Gate Brewery as part of Creativity on Tap, bringing bold live performance to one of Dublin’s most distinctive spaces.

Emma Doran brings her razor-sharp stand-up and unmistakable comic voice to Guinness Open Gate Brewery for one special night.

From taking to the stage for the first time while on maternity leave to becoming one of Ireland’s biggest comedy names, Emma’s rise has been fairly unstoppable. Her current Emmaculate tour is her biggest yet, with sold-out dates across Ireland and the UK, including multiple nights at Vicar Street, while her brilliantly observed comedy sketches have earned her an online audience of more than 400,000.

For Creativity on Tap, Emma headlines a stacked night of comedy at Guinness Open Gate Brewery, with special guests kicking things off. Three brilliant comics, one brilliant bill, and a rare chance to catch them together in one of Dublin 8’s most distinctive spaces.

Doors open at 5pm. Come early for pre-show drinks and Brewery Bites, with dishes made using fresh, local ingredients and designed to pair with Guinness Open Gate Brewery’s innovative beers.

The Line-Up

Emma Doran is a comedian, writer and best-selling author. Her nationwide debut tour Mad Isn’t It sold out across Ireland, followed by Dilemma and her current Emmaculate tour across Ireland and the UK. Emma co-wrote and starred in RTÉ’s No Worries If Not, and her television credits include The Late Late Show, Last One Laughing Ireland, The Tommy Tiernan Show and Celebrity Gogglebox. She is also the author of the memoir Mad Isn’t It? and co-host of Keep It Tight with Deirdre O’Kane.

Shane Clifford is a comedian from Tralee whose three national tours and sold-out Dublin Fringe Festival runs have established him as one of Ireland’s most distinctive stand-ups. He has supported Frankie Boyle, David O’Doherty, Neil Delamere and Alison Spittle and hosts Shane’s Brilliant Podcast.

Rachel Galvo is an Irish comedian based in London who has burst onto the live scene, making waves on both sides of the Irish Sea. A 2023 graduate of Mountview’s Musical Theatre programme, she combined her interest in feminism and comedy with her wit and natural stage presence to launch her stand-up career. Her debut solo show, The Shite Feminist, sold out venues across the UK and Ireland, including Dublin’s 1,200-seat Olympia Theatre, and following a breakout 2024 Edinburgh Fringe run, she returned in 2025 to critical acclaim.
