Dublin Fringe Festival Announces Two New Associate Artist Roles
New for 2023, Dublin Fringe Festival is delighted to be recruiting two brand new Associate Artist positions to join our team. We are committed to ensuring that artists are part of the conversation in all aspects of our work and that our organisation is always working with an up-to-date awareness of the issues and experiences affecting our industry.
We believe that artists make a city worth living in. It is of strategic importance to Dublin Fringe Festival that artists have sustainable careers in the city. We want to invest in the work of exciting and ground-breaking artists whose work we believe in. This role has a high degree of flexibility and is designed to support an artist sustaining their career and furthering their own independent artistic practice. Associate Artists at Dublin Fringe Festival will work on and develop their personal creative projects with time and space provided. We expect that the successful candidates will be working on a number of ideas and productions throughout the year with various partners and organisations.
The Associate Artists will provide expert consultancy to Dublin Fringe Festival staff and mentorship to the wider artistic community, contributing to selection panels for recruitment and various open call processes and sharing skills with a wide network of peers and colleagues via FRINGE LAB. We are looking for artists who are knowledgeable about the context of contemporary performance-making in Ireland and the working lives of artists in Dublin, have a wide network of artistic peers and are eager to bring their perspective to Dublin Fringe Festival.
About the role:
- Term: January to December 2023
- Hours: Part-time, flexible.
- Fee: €12,000
- Contract type: Freelance or Part time PAYE fixed term for 1 year (January to December 2023) The role has a flexible approach to contracting with option for part-time PAYE (with associated holidays and contributions) or fee based for self-employed artists where required or preferred.
