Last Saturday ABSOLUT Fringe and Macnas took the heart-breaking decision to cancel our very special performance of On The Edge of Things is a Fierce Beauty due to high winds. This decision was made with the safety of our audience in mind. We have been working very hard behind the scenes since then to look at rescheduling options, as this incredible performance by Ireland’s leading street theatre and spectacle company needs to be seen, despite the significant logistical and budgetary challenges. We are now delighted to announce that THE SHOW WILL GO ON! Yes. You read that right.
On The Edge of Things is a Fierce Beauty will be performed on the closing night of ABSOLUT Fringe, in The National Museum of Ireland – Decorative Arts & History, Collins Barracks, at 7.30pm on Sunday 25th September.
In the interest of public safety and fairness to those who may have lost or discarded their tickets, we will be issuing tickets to this event from tomorrow at 10am, at our box office in Filmbase only, on a first-come, first-served basis. All tickets for last Saturday’s event are INVALID and patrons who wish to attend, must pick up new tickets as soon as possible from our box office.
Gates will open at 7pm and close no later than 7.45pm on Sunday September 25th. Please arrive in time to ensure entry. Tickets are limited to 5 per person and can only be booked in person at our box office on Curved Street, Temple Bar, Mon-Sat 10am-6pm.
This restaging has been possible thanks to the hard work, heroic dedication and generosity of all at MACNAS, ABSOLUT Fringe production and volunteer departments, the National Museum at Collins Barracks and support from our title sponsors ABSOLUT. Restaging this event will prove costly and we need the support of other courageous souls. If you’d like to support Macnas, you can get in touch with them here: http://www.macnas.com/contact/
