A night of Afro diaspora music displaying the roots of Africa in all its punk, funk and grunge deadliness. Whether you’re brown, white, punk or into trap, you’re gonna enjoy seeing this lot. There’s Big Joanie, bringing black feminist sistah punk from London: riot grrrl with a sprinkling of dashikis. Then it’s some grunge soul as Sabatta mix punk and psychedelia: think Sly Stone meets Iggy Pop. Dublin’s best Afro-trad band Rhythm Africana and Côte d’Ivoire’s MC freestyle rapper MAI complete the line up. Lace up yer boots and get dancin’!
Venue is not wheelchair accessible.
This performance is free for asylum seekers and refugees.
